THE EVENT

On March 19, 2016 the Twisted Kilt Society hosted the first annual Southeast Alabama Highland Games and Scottish Heritage Festival. It was an event to behold, with over 1,000 in attendance. 2017 grew even more!

On March 16, 2019 we’ll be bring it back for our 4th year!

FAMILY FRIENDLY

This is a family fun event. We encourage everyone to come out if only to see the games and watch the demonstrations that will be going on.

ATHLETIC EVENTS

We will feature all the traditional Highland Games events, including the caber toss, sheaf toss, hammer throw, and more.

VENDORS

A large collection of food and merchandise vendors to look through as you watch the athletics.

THE CLANS

Besides the athletics, the clans are the 2nd most important piece of the event. Come talk to clan representatives and learn some history.

ACTIVITIES

Kids Athletics

Let the young lads and lasses give it a try. We will have a staged down version of the competition to let the younglings try it out for themselves.

Meet & Greet the Clans

Not sure if you have Scottish heritage? Come by the clan’s tents, meet with them, and see what clan you may be a part of.

Scotty Dog's Kids Kingdom

We will have activities and story times for the kids to enjoy in addition to the kids athletics.
